facial hair

Okay so your still rocking the beard. Great! Let’s talk about how to keep a natural groomed look. I know that eventually if your not living in the woods or competing in a pedigree beard contest, it will at some point get out of control. Please I beg you don’t do this…….

ouch!

Invest in a good pair of trimmers with attachments. They will cost between $60-$80. It is worth the investment. When it comes to this grooming tool you really do get what you pay for. Instead of giving yourself a line around what you think might be your jawline, use your attachments to fade into your neck. Use a shorter attachment on neck and stop at the top at just where your neck starts to curve under your chin. It’s kind of like a fade but for your face. It will give your jawline a more defined look and will not cut your head off from the rest of your body like it was in guillotine! This will also prevent rashes and breakouts. Conditioning your beard will make it oh so soft too!

Mustache for the Fall

Is time to grow out the beard? Or is the beard done? What about just a mustache this time around?

As a woman who is fond of the mustache, it is still important to keep a vision in mind. Proper grooming is essential. At The Parlour Brooklyn our “Men’s Special” can help you maintain your dream ‘stache.

You will recieve, shampoo, hot towel, neck trim, sideburns and yes… a mustache trim for $25. It’s not fun to be eating your mustache or have the hair be tickling your nose so bad that you end up plucking your hair out thus changing the shape of your prized manliness. If you want a mustache but don’t want to take the rest all the way down to the skin, get trimmers with attachments. Mustach wax can be very helpful in keeping the hair down and from tickling your nose while you’re growing it out. It doesn’t  just have to be for keeping the sides up into a curl.
